Regency Loss Mitigation

Set up entirely in Wordpress. I've done about a billion Wordpress themes at this point.

Tools Used:

Composure Photography

This site is designed around one major deciding factor: The ability to show images at greater-than 960px resolution if desired.

Tools Used:

iPhone

Zoneout

I did ALL of the illustration/design for this little iPhone distraction (sprites, icons, UI, etc), AND designed/built the website (although my developer buddies did hack up the main page a bit, bless their hearts)

Tools Used:

iTrade

For this stock trading app: I designed the logo, Flash slidshow (the iPhone on the index page), designed/co-built the website, and 80% of the in-app graphics, buttons, etc.

Tools Used:

Logo / Identity

Mascalzone

I designed the logo, cards, and other asorted paraphernalia. Mascalzone is 'scoundrel' in Italian, apparently. My client needed material to present this uber-upscale Italian restaurant/night club to investors.

Tools Used:

AP Escrow : Card Options

I designed the logo and cards. The client desired a strong, classic, almost "expected" feel; something refined and stable that wouldn't have to be updated every 2 years.

Tools Used:

Auto Protection Plans

The letters "APP" are hand-drawn. Not based on an altered font. And if you didn't notice the little man driving his car in there somewhere, look again. :)

Tools Used:

Misc.

Book Cover: The Stranger

I recently read this classic novel by Albert Camus. The cover of my particular edition was a mess. Here's my refresh.

Tools Used:

Flash

Fat Babies need to stop eating so many lollipops

I discovered the onion skin setting in Flash, which lets you see multiple frames while editing only the current one. It's magic for animation.

Me: An Accurate Rendition

I did a site mascot of myself a while back as a possible portfolio redesign. One look at it and I decided to go in another direction :)

Tools Used:

Vintage Cigarette Cartons

I did this project to improve my Adobe Illustrator skills. These cartons are all 100% vector recreations made from old pictures found online (I had to re-draw many of the fancier typefaces, but I did use fonts on occasion).

Tools Used:

Scrolling Art

I could get really creative with this simple idea; the picture animates when you scroll. Done in 90% vectors, all with Photoshop's native vector tool set.

Tools Used:

Train

Done in 90% vectors, all with Photoshop's native vector tool set.

Tools Used:

Posters

The Office Secretary Uses Imperative Language

The original note posted on the break room fridge had the same wording as the poster. But the visual was a border of tiny smiling fridges. Completely inadequate.

Tools Used:

Tools Used:

The Sea and the Hills

Rudyard 'n' minimalism.

Tools Used:

Star Trek.

I've liked many of the various iterations of TV space travel a la Star Trek. Next Gen, Deep Space Nine, &c. And now: a few words to live by from James Tiberius.

Tools Used:

Bathroom Literature Notice

A while back there was this street artist taking down home-made signs by non-designers and replacing them with amazing works of art. I thought I'd try it with a simple warning they had in the loo at work.

Tools Used:

No Brokers

Another makeshift sign replacement. The plain-old-Times poster was hanging on the wall by the Account Executives. I spruced up the message with that old Xerox look.

Tools Used:

Landing Pages

ADT Home Security System

The page "pops", as marketing geniuses say. I hate that word, but I know when I've created a design that does it. It's a standard family/home/safety motif, complete with a yellow "caution" arrow as the form call-to-action.

Tools Used:

FHBP

I designed and coded this site. I even added some jQuery love for tabs and animated expanding divs on the information pages.

Tools Used:

Blue Beamer

We've also been experimenting with more information before the form. This site didn't perform as well because the form was too low (I knew it!), but I fell in love with my design. To the portfolio with it!

Tools Used:

Short Sale

This site generates leads consistently. I think it's the Archer typeface, personally.

Tools Used:

Warranty - Orange Jeep

We've never tested specific car makes for conversion power…but we have found that clean, impressive colors and action-based visuals do motivate potential warranty buyers to fill out the lead form.

Tools Used:

Warranty - Blue and Orange

Blues and oranges have been converting better for the warranty pitch. This one's starting to look a bit too "Broncos" for me.

Tools Used:

EA Games - Battlefield Heroes

Everyone's signing on to the "Freemium" sales model. The key to these type of games is outreach—how many people can we get into our gaming system. Outreach is Affiliate Marketing's speciality.

Tools Used:

PSD Comp Only

Never did code this beauty; I include it to demonstrate feminine softness. I can go there when needed (though this design does retain some necessary medical stiffness).

Tools Used:

Email & Banners

Busted Benny

In case you were wondering, YES, Benny's hair extensions did come from a Google image search for Eddie Van Halen. I'm serious. And that's why this creative converts.

Tools Used:

Foreclosures Suck

The dark blues and bright reds give it the serious "warning" tone, while the visual is less realistic.

I was trying to combine a sense of urgency with a more classic, familiar feel.

Tools Used:

Cash-Eating House

Sometimes the visual has to clunk potential viewers over the head with an instant message.

Mission accomplished.

Tools Used:

The Instyler

This ad combines smoothness with technology. The client wanted more of a high-end salon feel. Aka: not pink or bubbly.

Tools Used:

Top Insurance Carriers Compared

Researching insurance quotes is not exciting. The whimsical element makes the boring subject matter more approachable and, dare I say, likeable.

Tools Used:

Obama Lithograph

It's royal hues, cartouches, and Trajan Pro for this presidential email campaign. I think his face looks odd—but that's really none of my concern as long as the product sells!

Tools Used:

P90X

We're definitely reaching out to the modern, axe-spraying man here. I've heard that P90X is positively grueling!

Tools Used:

Insurance Quote Farm

I just like the refinement here. It's not a paradigm shattering design, but a little care can build a lot of trust.

Tools Used:

Chew Away Smoker's Breath

The aim was to make this ad feel like a stinky smoker's paraphernalia (clothes, house, etc); and juxtapose that with the vibrant packaging at the bottom.

Tools Used:

4Seasons Wine Club

Thought I'd include an example of some Serif typeface work. I can do classy when it's called for. I ain't afeared.

Tools Used:

Debbie Siebers: Slim in 6

A very popular women's workout regimen from Beach Body Inc.
